I wanted to post more pictures of the lovely Charleston Place Hotel here. In my article, I wrote "Charleston Place is the most luxurious full-service option in the city, centrally located with 441 rooms, beautiful decor and the classic Thoroughbred Club for afternoon tea and cocktails. There were hiccups when I stayed: missing turndown service, a painfully slow WiFi connection, crowds blocking the doors. But the hotel is refined and the staff friendly, with the lobby acting as Charleston’s social center."

What I really loved the most was the lobby and Thoroughbred Club. It was like watching a show of the most intriguing and beautiful people to pass through Charleston.

Kiawah Island, SC I've just spent five days in Kiawah Island and Charleston, South Carolina seeing family and spending a girl's weekend with a great friend from college.  She's in Texas and I'm in New York so we picked a place that we both wanted to explore more! Have you heard of Kiawah? I'm surprised at how many people haven't when I mentioned I was going.  My extended family has been coming here for almost 30 years.  Just 40 minutes from Charleston and a place that's REALLY hard to leave.  It's been so wonderful although it's starting to wear on me with so little time at home.  I have two days at home before leaving for Nevis in the French West Indies!  Cannot wait to really catch up on photos and assignments.
