"What I've found does the most good is just to get into a taxi and go to Tiffany's. It calms me down right away, the quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there..." ~Holly Golightly, Breakfast at Tiffany's
This is how I feel about hotels. I don't feel like anything bad can happen to me at a great hotel. And I recently had the chance to tour the Tiffany Suite, where absolutely nothing bad can happen! The St. Regis New York unveiled the suite last month and it is one-of-a-kind and luxurious but also super comfortable. I told a friend that I felt I could order a pizza and kick back, but with a million-dollar view of Central Park. The signature Tiffany blue never overwhelms but pops in the dining room walls, headboard and desk.
The first thing you see when you walk in? An engagement ring-inspired table with fresh flowers on top. The designers paid attention to every detail in the 1,700 square-foot suite. I loved the bar cart with shiny Tiffany barware and stacked coffee table books.
The suite really makes you feel like you are stepping into a Tiffany jewelry box, not knowing what fabulous piece you'll find inside, but knowing that because it is Tiffany, it is divine. Best of all, you are two blocks away from the flagship Tiffany & Co. on Fifth Avenue.
The Tiffany Suite starts at $8,500 per night, so this girl will dream for now. But I'm so glad I got to step into the dream for a bit!
