Hotel Jerome in Aspen

On my first trip to Aspen, I fell in love immediately. Totally hooked within an hour of getting to town.  Now I've been four times, and fall more in love with each visit.  It's a place that exists nowhere else, with small-town appeal, big-city shops and restaurants, and glamour without pretention.

The Hotel Jerome has been a Main Street cornerstone since opening in 1889, 123 years ago.  Before the big hotel brands swept into town, the Hotel Jerome captured Aspen's allure. Wear your cowboy boots to hang out in the Victorian-style lobby by an old fireplace, clocks hanging on the wall, stuffed mounted deer, and chandeliers.  But I promise you it does not smell like it was built in 1889!

I like a laid-back bar where I can hear my friends talk.  The famous Jerome Bar or J-Bar gives me that, but also makes me feel like I've picked the right spot to be in town.  And you can't leave with trying the famous Jerome burger with applewood smoked bacon, caramelized onions, and sweet potato fries on the side.

The J-BarThe rooms are spacious and of course have updated amenities, so you can enjoy the Old West without using tin cans or horses to communicate.
