I've wanted to climb to the top of St. Paul's Cathedral in London for a long time - and finally got a chance today, on the most glorious, sunny autumn day. Sadly, I forgot my "real" camera but these iPhone pics turned out pretty well. I am telling you, the 500+ steps it takes to reach the top is worth it! It's better than the London Eye or any other view because the wind is whipping around you and you're really out in it. Just seeing The Shard (that giant pointy building) feels unreal - like I'm looking at a rendering of a futuristic space-age city. St. Paul's has a hefty £16 entrance fee but includes an audio guide (which I admittedly didn't even take because I was in a time crunch). All I know is that Princess Diana married Prince Charles here - and we all know how that turned out. When I got down, I was, naturally, famished and luckily, there are tons of great, easy, chain-y spots around the cathedral - Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Paul, Le Pain. Enjoy!
