For my birthday this week, we took a quick trip out to Long Island. We didn't stay in a hotel this time but stayed in my friend's beautiful East Hampton house. She and her husband were amazing hosts and we biked to nearby Georgica Beach and went to dinner at a place I love, Nick & Toni's. As usual, I have Post-Hamptons Depression. Here are a few more things that I loved about this particular journey out there.
Great, laid-back Mexican lunch at The Hideaway in Montauk (it's tough to find!)
Picking up some of the best fruit & sweet corn at Pike's Farm Stand in Sagaponack
A visit to Bridgehampton Florist for flowers
Adorable dog patiently waiting for his owner outside BookHampton in Sag Harbor
A great lobster roll on my birthday at Lobster Roll
Getting a few bottles of wine at Wolffer Estate Vineyard, a place I could sit for hours
My favorite moment: Seeing this couple at sunset on Georgica Beach & watching him brush the sand off her feet when they got in the car!
