A couple weekends ago, Andy told me he had made a reservation for Saturday night. I’m normally the one picking where we go, because I’m the one more obsessively in tune with the media and sites like Eater and SeriousEats. So I love it when Andy finds a place he wants to try and just says “We’re going.”
We went to Tom Colicchio’s Riverpark. The number one thing this place has going for it is the outdoor terrace and views of the East River. Since it’s in an odd area near Bellevue Hospital and NYU Medical Center, these views aren’t found anywhere else.
You have to walk through the office building to get to the entrance. The dinner wasn’t outstanding, but we had a great evening and loved the whoosh of the FDR below us.
