Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It's full-on Christmas in New York, except for the weather that feels more like early September. I'm ready for December parkas, earmuffs, and a few pristine snowflakes. Let's forget that with snow comes slush, wind, and bad hair.
If you find yourself in New York City during this most delightful time of year, and staying at the hip Standard hotel, don't miss the mini holiday ice rink built under the property and next to the Standard Biergarten. At 5:00 on a Saturday, there was hardly a line and darkness had already come, making this scene supremely cozy.
And of course, don't miss The High Line elevated park behind the ice rink, one of my New York favorites.
